Cloud was walking along inside the Shinra building when he spotted someone crouching nearby. His soldier senses alerted, he started walking toward the discrepancy. But that back looked oddly familiar…

"Zack?!"

Zack turned around, in the unpanicked way that suggested he'd known Cloud was there. His face lit up when he saw it wasn't just any trooper, it was his pet trooper!

"Cloud," Zack greeted, motioning him closer. Zack was holding something carefully between his fingers, arm tightened with tension but fingers quite loose. "Do you think she—my girlfriend will like it?" he asked.

Cloud snorted.

"Ah! You snorted! Why'd you snort, huh? Cloud!" Cloud turned too late. Zack grabbed his wrist so he couldn't run away and avoid answering, twisting Cloud around to face Zack again.

Cloud looked at Zack when he realized his plan of running back down the hall was foiled. "It's a little chocolate statue of you." Cloud choked back another peal of laughter. "Is it meant to be suggestive?"

"Cloud!" Zack groaned, jerking Cloud's wrist a little, before whirling around, carefully clutching his figurine a little closer. "Sephiroth?"

Cloud turned a second after. He hadn't even noticed, but Zack had, and before Sephiroth had even turned the corner.

Sephiroth's light eyes summed up the situation. "What's that?" he decided to ask, walking closer and bending down to examine it.

"It's a present!" Zack held up the figurine. "For my girlfriend."

Sephiroth straightened and raised an eyebrow down at Zack. "A mini chocolate version of you," he said flatly, a shadow falling at the corners of his lips. "Is it supposed to be suggestive?"

Zack threw up his hands. "Argh!" Deciding the two of them useless, he walked almost sulkily to the elevators. "I'll just find out for myself, then."

Sephiroth almost called that Zack should have done that in the first place, but instead watched the elevator doors close, an amused almost-smile on his face. Curious to see who else had been pulled into the plot, he turned to the trooper.

Trooper in question was walking slowly away, still chuckling to himself. Sephiroth turned around, watching the blonde. He was sure he'd seen this one before.

"Hey."

The trooper turned, noticed Sephiroth's gaze, and immediately whirled around and straightened. "Hai!"

Sephiroth held out a stack of documents. "Deliver these to the SOLDIER union head for me."

As he walked away, Sephiroth was unable to resist chortling to himself. It'd finally dawned on him where he'd seen Zack's delivery boy before.
